THE STORY OF GOLDRAT RIVER SLUICING

The pioneer days of treasure mining in the Goldrat were defined by a peculiar method known as sluicing. Developing from the necessity to extract precious minerals from the highly compacted riverbeds, sluicing emerged as a widespread practice. Skilled miners would build elaborate sluice boxes, carefully guiding the river water to wash away the un
